About the Role:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker at Koala Care Services, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of our clients by providing practical and emotional support. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, including assistance with daily activities like grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
- Support clients in developing independent living skills.
- Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation and cleaning.
- Escort clients to appointments and community engagements.
- Promote the client’s physical and emotional well-being.
- Follow individual support plans and ensure all care provided meets NDIS standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) or willingness to obtain.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to apply.
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
